WARNING - Essential oils should not be used directly on the skin - they should be diluted 5% essential oil 95% carrier oils, such as fractionated coconut, jojoba, shea, sweet almond, etc.
Essential oils are made from the plant material and are all natural. Most are made by adding pounds of plant material to a vat, adding water and steaming for approximately three days. At the end of that time, the oil of the plant has risen to the top 1/2 to 1" of the vat - that is the essential oil. The water is then filtered and sold as distillate or hydrosol.
